Hull has had its second visit from England 2018 inspectors. The inspectors travelled around the city’s landmarks including the KC Stadium and the World Trade Centre to asses to asses Hull’s suitability to be a host city.
A steering group has been set up to coordinate Hull’s campaign which is led by John Holmes, Chief Executive of Hull Forward and members of the Business Forums own steering group are also involved in the bid. The Hull and East Yorkshire 2018 Team has already shown one FA delegation around the KC, Hull University and proposed training venues and camps across and around the city. The bid will also include the expansion of the KC Stadium to 45,000 seats, potential fan park locations as well as accommodation and transport plans.
