Hull has a key target to create 1,600 more businesses over the next decade, and the enterprise agenda is therefore critical to the city’s strategy.
The Forum’s consultations on issues such as Hull’s Community Strategy and Local Enterprise Growth Initiative bid have highlighted that enterprise should be top priority for Hull. We are proud to be partners in Hull’s Youth Enterprise Partnership which is working to help young people with bright business ideas make them happen.
Hull is a great place to start a business and invest. Not only is it a city of real potential, but there is lots of help and support for you to start up.
Hull Business Forum can support enterprise in Hull in a variety of ways:
Promoting an entrepreneurial culture to young people is a key challenge for the city. Young Enterprise is a superb organisation which runs a range of excellent enterprise programmes in schools and colleges. Young Enterprise needs the support of local business volunteers to make it happen. Being a Young Enterprise volunteer is rewarding and can also build skills and confidence as part of your staff development programmes. More information is available from the local Development Manager Janet Brumby.
