The Hull & Humber Enterprise Network is a series of free events designed to help and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and business owners. The ONE HULL Business Forum is managing the Hull & Humber Enterprise Network in association with the University of Hull. The Network’s interesting and informal meetings feature guest speakers who share their experiences of enterprise and life in business.

THE GUEST SPEAKER: GLEN LITTLE

Glen left school on his 16th birthday with no job and nowhere to live. Three days later he was working as a trainee waiter and living in a room in the basement of a London hotel. On his 19th Birthday Glen was managing the hotel and responsible for 45 staff.  It was a hard start to a career that has seen success on five continents. Glen has sold photocopiers in London's Mayfair and industrial equipment in the Middle East (and many things in between). He still applies the same   beliefs to work as he did when he was 16. Glen is accomplished in industrial, retail and leisure markets and has also been part of the success of some of the most iconic brands in the UK and global markets.

In addition to being one of Hull’s leading business consultants with Smailes Goldie Consulting, Glen manages the Howden based Plant Raisers Ltd, the largest propagator of tomato, cucumber and pepper plants in the UK. The pursuit of excellence in all aspects of propagation has resulted in strong growth and strong export sales to France, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Poland.
