Learning Lunch: ONE HULL
What are Local Strategic Partnerships? What do they do?
How do they work? Why do we need them?
The ONE HULL Business Forum in association with Hull City Council has developed a series of ‘Learning Lunches’ which are open to all local business people who wish to find out more about how the Council undertakes various processes.
As well as providing excellent networking opportunities, these free lunch events are a useful way to find out about important areas of the Council’s work in an informal setting.
The next Learning Lunch will take place on Thursday 18th February and Chris Howell of ONE HULL will speak about:
- Local Strategic Partnerships – what are they and why do we need them?
- The role of Hull’s Local Strategic Partnership, ONE HULL
- How ONE HULL works, what it does and what has it achieved?
Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) were created by the Government to bring together public, private and voluntary/community sectors to address local problems, allocate funding, discuss strategies and initiatives. By pooling experience and expertise, LSPs can understand local people, places and problems and make sure the right actions are taken and right services delivered.
In Hull, the LSP is called ONE HULL and it is responsible for delivering the Community Strategy and the Local Area Agreement.
This Learning Lunch will give you the opportunity to put your own questions to a senior ONE HULL representative as well as find out more about Hull’s Local Strategic Partnership.
Whatever the size or sector of your business this Learning Lunch is free to attend although places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. All Learning Lunches will commence at 12 noon and will take place at the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce offices at 34/38 Beverley Road, Hull.
Full details of the 2010 series of Learning Lunches are available here.
