28th Quarterly Business Forum
A new ‘City Plan’ for Hull
The Coalition Government has moved at breakneck speed and is making major changes to local economic development. Hull Forward and Yorkshire Forward are closing and will be replaced by Local Enterprise Partnerships backed by a new Regional Growth Fund. These new initiatives will have a major role in boosting Hull’s economic growth.
This month’s Comprehensive Spending Review will have a big impact on the city and the concepts of ‘localism’ and the ‘Big Society’ will give Hull and its businesses a real chance to shape the city to meet our priorities, not those decided in London.
Our panel of speakers will include:
Mark Jones, Head of Regional Development at Hull City Council
Richard Tuplin, Chair, The Earning Partnership and Chair of the Hull & East Riding Institute of Directors
This forum will give you an update on what’s happening and a chance to have your say and influence this new plan for the city.
