UK Economic Development Conference

This event is not organised by the ONE HULL Business Forum. Please confirm details with the event organiser before travelling.

About the Conference

The Conference covers many of the different aspects of local and regional economic development and regeneration. Its purpose is to identify changing policies and organisational responsibilities as well as to highlight what has worked, the options available, and how policies and practice may change after the UK general election and given changing EU priorities.

Our Gateways to the Future theme has been chosen to reflect the location of the conference this year in the Hull & the Humber Ports City Region and to encourage consideration of other gateways, openings and opportunities such as pathways and incentives to work for the workless; restructuring for a low carbon economy; smart development, no-growth and the green agendas; and opportunities for place-making and marketing.

Who Should Attend

All practitioners and anyone responsible for framing, designing and implementing economic development and regeneration policies in local and regional government as well as private sector consultancies, academic institutions and social enterprises.
