Hull Business Forum was established in 2003 to provide strong local business involvement in ONE HULL, the city's Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)
Local Strategic Partnerships bring together the public, private, voluntary and community sectors in each local authority area of the country to drive forward regeneration. The LSP is a group of partnerships tackling issues such as the economy, education, transport and many others.
ONE HULL quickly decided that it wanted wide and deep business involvement and worked with Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce to develop an independent Business Forum to encourage local companies to participate.
Membership of Hull Business Forum is free of charge to any local business. The Forum is run by business for business and is managed by 15 business people elected from the membership. We work with the two key business representative organisations in the city, the Federation of Small Businesses and Chamber of Commerce.
The Forum also leads on identifying and supporting private sector members on the LSPs partnerships such as the strategic City Partnership, Delivery Board and priority theme partnerships. More information on the ONE HULL activities is available from their website.
We also provide input into key city consultations such as the Community Strategy which has recently been developed to set a long-term vision for Hull.
