On Sunday 2nd September, following months of intensive training, legendary DebRA supporter, and member of the Forum’s Business Advisory Group, Graham Boanas boldly waded where nobody had waded before and successfully completed one of the most daring and historic events ever witnessed in the UK – the Three Rivers Challenge. Over a hundred business leaders from across Hull and the Humber gathered at the Hull University Business School to hear the results of a study into Hull’s economic position delivered by IBM Business Consulting Services. The study commissioned earlier this year by Citybuild, in conjunction with Hull City Council, gives a “Competitive Assessment” for the city by ‘testing’ some of its existing and potential future economic sectors in terms of how successful they could be in retaining and attracting new investment and business to Hull.
