New business support handbook published

Hull City Council has published the latest version of its business support handbook.

The handbook contains useful information on a range of agencies and services designed to support local businesses including the Acorn Fund, the GROW Programme and the ONE HULL Business Forum.

Councillor Kalvin Neal, Portfolio Holder for Business Engagement, said:

"There is clearly a tremendous range of support and advice available to businesses within the City and I hope you find this handbook useful in signposting you to the right provider.

We are all determined to work together to enable your business to
survive and prosper during and after the current economic downturn. The
Council and partners are determined to provide you with a responsive
and dynamic service, to help you to continue to make a valuable
contribution to the economic development of the City.

To underline our own commitment, the City Council has recently
recapitalised the highly successful Acorn Fund and introduced the
GROW programme, a package of employment support to enable and
encourage employers to recruit unemployed residents of the City."

Hard copies will be distributed to all Hull businesses with the business rates letter at the end of this month but a copy can be downloaded via this link:
