Get Swapping your Skills in Yorkshire & Humber!
SkillSwap is an exciting initiative that will enable people in businesses, communities, organisations and other areas to connect with each other informally to share skills, try new activities, and, above all, have fun!
Can you remember back to the days of Multi-Coloured Swap Shop? If you remember, as children you could ring into the show and swap the things you no longer needed or wanted with the toy that you had been waiting for. Or simply swap your jungle action man for the urban ranger, and if you were really lucky, you’d get a multi-coloured notepad thrown in too.
Well those heady days have returned, however, this time it’s not toys that are being swapped but skills! Everyone has a talent for something, be it cake-making, gardening, golf, carpentry, computer skills or business related skills, and now is the time to share your skill with others and try out something new yourself.
Business in the Community is running a SkillSwap project in Yorkshire and the Humber with funding from the Learning Revolution Transformation Fund. The project brings education, community and business together to learn something new and to learn about each other, increasing understanding and knowledge in the local community.
The Hull Event will take place on Thursday 4 March at the Guildhall.
