City Works Delivering Future Jobs..

City Works have announced it will be one of the city’s organisations delivering the Department for Works and Pensions, Future Jobs Fund.

The Future Jobs Funds aims to create 205,000 additional jobs in the UK. To be eligible applicants will need to have been unemployed for at least six months and be in receipt of a benefit.  The fund enables these candidates to placed six months with a subsidised wage.

For an organisation to be able to access this fund they will need to demonstrate that any placement provides a clear benefit to the community.  The Future Jobs Fund is not there to fill current vacancies within an organisation, as it must not take a job away, more in exchange for providing a placement the organisation “is provided with an extra pair of hands”

City Works would like to speak to any organisation who would be willing to work with them to provide these placements. Play their part in offering an opportunity to gain valuable experience and demonstrate a clear benefit to the community.
