The employment law team at Hull firm Andrew Jackson, in conjunction with leading recruitment company Randstad, is hosting a breakfast seminar which will provide a key update on the new rules which apply for agency workers as well as looking at how businesses can make innovative cost efficiencies and an insight into business 'best practice'.
Aimed at all those involved in running a business, including HR professionals, the seminar - which will take place on Tuesday 29 June at the World Trade Centre in Hull - will include presentations from employment law partner Lee Whiting and senior solicitor Lindsay Gordon, from Andrew Jackson, who will look at the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 and what the provisions mean in practice. Jonathan Dale, head of the employment law department at Andrew Jackson explains: "The Agency Worker Regulations will introduce new rights for agency workers in relation to pay and benefits as well as other areas. Both temporary work agencies and the businesses hiring workers from them are affected by these changes.
"Although the Regulations do not come into force until October 2011, it is important that those affected understand the changes to be made and plan for their introduction."
Also presenting at the seminar is Nikki Davies, branch manager for Randstad in Hull, together with her colleague Hannah Thomas, a senior consultant, who will launch Randstad's annual HR Guide, The Workpocket 2010/2011 and Offsetting,
Nikki Davies said: "This is the eighth edition of the workpocket and is the UK's only free comprehensive all in one guide to HR and employment issues and we will be discussing the benefits to your business on a day to day basis. I will be talking about Randstad's Offsetting product, an innovative way to cut costs within your business and a unique but viable alternative to redundancies'
Whilst there is no charge for attending the seminar places are limited, so please reserve your place as soon as possible by contacting Rea Cunningham via email:
