Rollits Lawyers attempt Two Tower Trek for Charity

Two Rollits employees from Hull law firm Rollits will be oiling their bike chains to take part in a 600 mile cycle ride for charity at the end of the month.

On the morning of 31 July, Chris Drinkall and Chris Harding, along with two friends Mike Hewitt and Mike Thompson, will be cycling from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a trek they aim to finish in seven days.

The boys have been training in preparation for the event for the last few months, clocking up hundreds of miles on their bikes in their spare time.  However, every mile of the journey will be made slightly easier knowing that they are hoping to raise £5000 for two worthwhile charities, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Hull Women & Children’s Hospital Special Care Baby Unit.

Chris Drinkall says “We are under no illusions that completing the trek or raising £5000 will be easy. However, it will be nothing compared to the difficulties that people who need the help of Marie Curie Cancer Care or SCBU face.   Both charities have directly helped members of the team at difficult times in our lives so we WILL do the trek, no matter how hard it becomes.”

In addition to the Two Tower Trek, the team are organising other fundraising activities to reach their target including a race night on 23rd July at Blackburn Leisure in Brough.  If you would like to sponsor the Two Tower Trek team, please visit their Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/2towertrek.
