Countdown to Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010

The countdown to Global Entrepreneurship Week is underway and the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership has appointed local company Force-7 to help promote activities during the week.

Force-7 specialise in communicating with young people and attracting business support for young peoples projects and activities. They have already developed a brochure to promote the week and are raising sponsorship from the local business community.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 runs from 15 - 21 November and is all about embracing innovation, imagination and creativity. It showcases enterprise; opening up new opportunities for young people across Hull, the UK and the world. This year schools and colleges from Rotherham, East Riding and Great Yarmouth will be joining in the activities in Hull.

Councillor Christine Randall, Portfolio Holder for Education and Children's Services, said:

"During this global economic downturn, now more than ever, we need fresh thinkers who spot opportunities, apply their talents and overcome obstacles to make their ideas happen. This is why Hull gets fully behind this important week and engages with our young entrepreneurs of the future."

Lucy Stabler, Account Director at Force-7, said:

"We are delighted to be appointed by the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership to lead on their campaign to promote enterprise to the city's young people for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010.

"Whether you're in education, business, the public sector or the voluntary sector, everyone should get involved. It's about developing people's enterprise skills and helping them achieve their ambitions. I urge the city to get behind the week of activities and if any one wishes to get involved they should contact us now
