Innovative apprenticeship programme launched

Construction Works of Hull is looking to work with local skilled traders from across the city with its innovative Apprenticeship Programme.
Unlike the traditional approach to Apprenticeships a company would not need to agree from the outset to provide a place for 2 years for an apprentice.
This new and innovative approach devised by the team at Construction Works means that companies can access skilled apprentices for a minimum of 3 months. On top of this, the contribution from the company is limited to £100.00 per week; however the apprentice will receive £120.00 per week.
This new approach to dealing with Apprentices is a response to the current economic situation in Hull and surrounding area, traditionally companies would look to make their investment in these guys and girls knowing that there was sufficient work, however today things are less clear cut. All the apprentices have completed a 6 week foundation college course, carry valid CSCS cards and are fully kitted with tools.
Construction Works now want to speak to companies from across the city about how they can have access to this great program and how together these companies and Construction Works can help develop the talent of the future, whilst making a clearly visible contribution to a companies bottom line.
Apprentices are supported throughout their placement with an experienced Mentor who will work with them and employers to ensure that the right individual is placed within a company.
Future Jobs Fund places are also available; offering 6 month free placements where Construction Works pay’s the individual’s wages,
