Leeds University Launches SME Club Scheme.

The SME Club project is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and Yorkshire Forward and hosted by the University of Leeds.

The purpose of the project is to support Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Yorkshire and Humber region to work with the University of Leeds, the largest university in the region.  There are two types of award available:

• Technology Tester Award - £5k to be used on a project carried out with a member of University staff or a service at the University.  Suitable for initial exploration of the potential of an idea, product or process. 13 awards available. More information here.

• Technology Challenge Award - £20k to be used on a project carried out with a member of University staff or a service at the University.    Suitable for exploring the potential of an idea, product or process in more detail or taking forward previous proof of concept work. More information here.
