Young People

Hull is a forward looking city with great potential currently undergoing a massive programme of investment, regenerating itself to become one of the country's leading northern cities.
However, regeneration isn't always about new buildings but about new ideas and better opportunities for local people especially the next generation. Business and enterprise is a fundamental part of Hull's regeneration and an effective youth enterprise strategy is vital to the successful regeneration of the city.
Hull's businesses believe that enterprise should be a top priority for the city and the ONE HULL Business Forum is proud to be partners in Hull’s Youth Enterprise Partnership which is working to help young people with bright business ideas make them happen.
The ONE HULL Business Forum actively supports the Young Enterprise Company Programme which works to develop an entrepreneurial culture in local schools and ensures that Hull’s businesses are made aware of the many opportunities this programme offers to get involved in enterprise education. By attending Business Forum meetings, the young people involved in the Company Programme have the opportunity to meet local business leaders and communicate their message to a wide business audience gaining valuable experience along the way.
The ONE HULL Business Forum Connect website also facilitates the joint working between Hull’s private sector and local schools as well as other public and community sector organisations. The website enables schools to request information, support or direct engagement from local businesses relating to a range of issues such as business advisors, school governors or teaching mentors.
